What time is check in?
Normally from 4pm onwards – if this is not convenient please contact us.
During my stay, can I have access to my bedroom?
Yes – our guests are free to come and go as they please.
Is Wifi available?
Yes, we provide free access to Wifi.
Is there a TV and radio in the room?
No TV or radio in bedrooms or drawing room at present.
Do the bedrooms have en-suite facilities?
The New Wing Suite has its own bathroom. The bathroom for guests staying in the Yellow Room is not en-suite but it is private for the exclusive use of yellow room guests and is just across the corridor.
What time do you serve breakfast?
On weekdays normally from 8.00am – 9.00am, at weekends from 9.00am – 9.30am.
Do you provide evening meals?
No – but there is plenty of choice nearby, some within walking distance.
Do you cater for vegetarians and special diets?
Yes we do cater for vegetarians and special diets. Advance warning is preferable.
Do you accept children?
Yes. Children aged 16 or over are classed as adults.
Can I bring my dog or cat?
We do allow dogs. We have never had a cat! Pets are allowed indoors but not on the beds, or in the drawing room when we have other guests.
Do you accept smokers?
Yes – but we don’t allow smoking anywhere at all inside the house.
Is your online booking secure?
Yes. All details you enter are encrypted.
Can I pay my account with a credit or debit card?
No – we don’t have card processing facilities at present.
If I need to cancel my booking, how do I do that?
The online booking pages have a section called ‘My Bookings – view or cancel a booking’ and it should be straightforward to enter your details from there. If you need any assistance please let us know. Alternatively please contact us directly to discuss cancelling your room reservation.
