Location

Glenmore is just outside the village of Kilmelford, sixteen miles south of Oban and twenty-one miles north of Lochgilphead. Follow the A816 until you see our signs. From there, follow the private avenue lined with a variety of trees up to the house.

Things to do

There are many lochs in the direct area of Glenmore Country House. Here guests can enjoy fly fishing for native brown trout. Alasdair and Melissa can provide guests with a fishing permit, so they are able to go fishing even on the evening of their arrival!

Of course guests are welcome to spend only one night at Glenmore Country House, but many find that this gives them not enough time to enjoy the location in all its aspects.

Alasdair and Melissa are happy to tell guests about the spectaculair viewpoints, the great walks on the estate and the many places of interest in the local area. Hire of bikes is available locally.
